Travel Information
To reach Maceió, Brazil, you may either fly to São Paulo (Guarulhos International Airport) or Rio de Janeiro (Galeão International Airport) and get a connection to Maceió airport (Zumbi dos Palmares Airport). There are also some options to fly to Salvador or Recife by TAP which are cities closer to Maceió and you may get a connection to Maceió airport from there. There are many flights from those cities to Maceió and you may easily choose and book your flight in many sites, e.g., www.decolar.com.
The Maceió airport is far 23 km from the Workshop Hotel. The Organizing Committee is not offering Workshop Transportation. The transportation options are car, bus, and taxi (recommended). Better cared for vehicles with air conditioning and more space for your luggage.
Visa Information
• Passports: Passports valid for at least six months from date of entry required for visitors of all countries except Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay arriving in Brazil directly from their countries and holding a national identity card.
• Return ticket: All travelers must be in possession of onward or return tickets and sufficient funds to cover their stay.
• The visa is required for all travelers, except for citizens of some countries. See complete list here.
• Visa required to attend the conference: Tourist Visa (scientists, professors or researchers attending cultural, technological or scientific conferences, seminars).
• It takes about 10 days to get the visa. Please, try to get your visa as soon as possible (30 days before your trip) to avoid undesired and unexpected delay problems.
• Attach your invitation letter and a printed copy of the Workshop homepage to the documents that are required to submit to the Brazilian Consulate to get your visa.
